The goal of this project was to erect a free-standing, rustic looking peeler-wood fence complete with lashings along a trail section near the top of Raptor Ridge in the San Diegito River Park located just east of Lake Hodges. The fence is to protect an area of Spike Moss, whose population has been steadily dwindling in the Park. The fence is approximately 3-4 feet tall and approximately 160 feet long, and consists of 21 posts and 40 rails. The posts and rails are actually bolted together under the lashings, so it is very strong. The project was completed in one day by a very hard working crew!
